Things
To Do
Located in the Perigord Pourpre region of
the Dordogne we are perfectly situated as a base to explore the
Dordogne valley and the Bordeaux wine region.
Just a few kilometers away lie the villages of Le Fleix and St Meard
de Gurcon, with their butcher, pharmacy, general store and bakery
supplying most self-catering needs.
A short drive along the river will bring you to Ste Foy La Grande
with its colourful Saturday market. Here you will find a good selection
of restaurants and a number of large supermarkets, together with
other amenities.
This is an excellent area for cycling, walking and canoeing. The
18 hole golf course at Chateau Vigiers is just a short drive away
through unspoilt countryside. Just a few kilometres away is Pro
Glisse, a leisure complex with numerous activities including jet
skiing, quad bikes and roller skating.

Bergerac,
situated on the banks of the Dordogne, with its
old historic quarter and narrow alleyways hiding
cosy restaurants is well worth a visit.
Nearby you will find a ten pin bowling complex, go karting circuit and an Aquapark
South of Bergerac is Chateau Monbazillac enticing you to linger over a cool glass of its famous sweet wine.
To the west lies the mediaeval town of St. Emilion with its winding streets and numerous cafes, and further on is the city of Bordeaux
with its tempting shopping.
Alternatively, you could just sit by the side of our
swimming pool, soaking up the sun and enjoying the relaxed
pace of life for which this area of France is famed.
